We are situated in Bowen, North Queensland, 'The Climate Capital of the North'.  Bowen produces 55% of Australia's fresh tomatoes and has the longest growing season for horticultural products. (32 weeks)

We have strategic alliances with growers in Queensland and Victoria.  This not only maintains a constant supply of fresh tomatoes, but ensures that we have total control over the quality and variety of raw product that we process.

Within our factories we implement the highest standards of food handling, ensuring good manufacturing processes, continually upgrading our processing machinery to the latest innovation and training our staff to the highest level of food handling and hygiene standards.

the Bowen Tomato Co employs personnel with agricultural expertise and experience as well as employing a HACCP Auditor to monitor food quality and hygiene.  We microbiologically test our product in our in-house laboratory and regularly verify our results in NATA Accredited external laboratories.

Our company first commenced production in August 1999 with a two trolley dryer producing one tonne of Semi Dried Tomatoes each week. 

The company has grown significantly over the past few years, having built a new facility that has the production capability in excess of twenty tonnes of Semi Dried Tomatoes each week.  With the completion of our new factory we now have room to expand our capability to producing 40 tonnes/week.

Our state and regional distributors are active in the market selling to  various customers including the 'Major' supermarkets, Independent supermarkets, restaurants, delicatessens and stores.

With our additional capacity, our company has diversified its customer base.  Large industrial accounts are now utilising our Semi Dried Tomatoes on their product ingredients list.  Export opportunities are a rapidly expanding market for our company and we now ship our product to distributors in Japan, Korea and US.
